Dry Martini

Serves: 1 Ready in: 5 mins

This is a classic gin martini, it's a hefty whack so not for the light weights, seriously though, it is a proper grown ups drink. The gin matters, my fave is a Japanese Gin called Roku, but you can use any.

Ingredients

1 serving

  • 1 1/2 cups ice
  • 75ml gin
  • 15ml Bianco dry Vermouth
  • 2 Sicilian olives or a twist of lemon peel

      Method

Place 1/2 a cup of ice in a glass to chill and set aside.

In a shaker place the gin and vermouth, add the remaining ice and shake until you lose all feeling in your hands.

Discard the ice from the glass, and strain the drink through a cocktail strainer into the chilled glass.

Garnish with a couple of olives or a twist of lemon.

      Tips

I like to shake until there are tiny shards of ice in the drink.
