No Bake Chocolate Peanut Butter BarsMakes:
No Bake Chocolate Peanut Butter Bars are a super easy treat and totally addictive.
1 packet of Malt biscuits, approx 250g
2 cups icing sugar
200g butter or margarine, melted
1 cup "crunchy" peanut butter
225g dark chocolate
Place biscuits n a processor or plastic bag and pulse or bash with a rolling to form crumbs.
In a bowl or processor combine the crumbs with the icing sugar, melted butter and peanut butter.
Press into a greased slice tin or Swiss roll tin approx 33cm x 23cm.
Smooth over the top using wet hands or a spatula dipped in water. Place in the fridge to chill.
While the base is chilling place a heat proof bowl over a small saucepan of barely simmering water. Break the chocolate into the bowl, add the Kremelta and gently melt the chocolate. Don’t let the water boil, as chocolate, if overheated, will seize, instead of melting.
Mix well, then pour over the base, tap gently on the bench to release any air bubbles and refrigerate until set. Cut into squares.
If your tray is a little smaller and you will simply have a thicker slice.
